KOJO, one of Australia’s most experienced and respected post-production and visual effects companies, has announced the further expansion of its Melbourne studio. The facility now boasts five edit suites, with an additional five hot desks, an HDR colour grading environment, an expanded visual effects department, and a new motion and title design studio.

The growth allows KOJO to continue providing world-class picture post and VFX services across all stages of production—from workflow planning to final delivery—ensuring the highest-quality lens to screen experience for Melbourne-based work as well as remote access clients around the world.

The expansion aligns perfectly with KOJO’s highly regarded Adelaide studio, creating a unified and connected creative hub across the two cities. This strategic synergy between the two locations allows KOJO to offer clients a comprehensive post-production and VFX service, with the combined strength of both studios ensuring an unparalleled level of talent and expertise. Together, the Melbourne and Adelaide facilities allow KOJO to handle large-scale projects with the consistency, creativity, and quality that have become the company’s hallmark.

“With several new projects starting imminently, we committed to expanding the studio over the past few months, and we’re excited to bring our full-service offering to the Melbourne market,” said Dale Roberts, CEO of KOJO. “ The facility, in combination with our Adelaide studio, positions us to deliver the best possible creative solutions for an increasingly diverse and ambitious range of projects.”

With over 130 credits, including work for Warner Bros, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Universal Studios, Sony Entertainment, A24, BBC Studios, and numerous award-winning filmmakers, KOJO has built a reputation as one of Australia’s leading post-production and VFX companies.

In addition to the new facilities, KOJO is also welcoming several new hires across editorial, VFX, and IT to join Senior Post-Production Producer Charlotte Carney.

“We’ve had the privilege of working on some fantastic projects already in Melbourne,” said Lauren van Rensburg, Head of Post Production & VFX at KOJO. “We’ve designed the studio to be a haven for filmmakers with easy access to everything we do, all under one roof, coupled with a fantastic team of highly experienced staff.”

KOJO’s investment in its Melbourne facility further underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to the Australian creative industry and its role as a key player in the post-production and VFX landscape. The facilities can be combined as one solution as required, with access to both state-based PDV rebates being available in addition to the federal 30% PDV rebate.

With almost three decades of experience in the international screen industry, KOJO is one of Australia’s most experienced studios and takes great pride in delivering high-quality post-production and visual effects services to clients all over the world.
