Feel The Rush

 

With Repco as the new naming sponsor, the return of Rally New Zealand brought not only the thrilling gravel racing expected from the World Rally circuit but also a grand showcase in downtown Auckland, set to become one of New Zealand’s biggest motorsport events in years.

Our approach was to utilise the bold brand colors, distinct typography, and introduce the culturally significant Rauru pattern to symbolise both growth and new beginnings – presented visually as rally tire tracks to overall create a visual identity package that would stand out amongst the existing World Rally plate designs. Through motion design, we added a cinematic touch, with the camera following a single light source driving throughout the logo lockup, revealing the details and textures of the plate and its landscape to create a dynamic and immersive brand reveal.

The result was a powerful identity that captured both the refreshed energy and significance of the event, and setting the stage for an epic return of this iconic rally to the world stage.
