Welcome to Country
In preparation for the 2018 AFL season, Fremantle Football Club were looking to create a ‘Welcome to Country’ as part of their pre-game event presentation. This moment was to reflect the integrated nature within the Club, from the senior men’s team, AFLW team, past players and the Elders from the community.
KOJO worked closely with Fremantle Dockers to develop a script that spoke about the diversity and inclusiveness of the Club as well as recognising the cultural significance of the surrounding area.
The video is played out in stadium pre-game and is accompanied by indigenous artwork on the LEDs and feature coloured lighting on the roof of the stadium.
