A fitting Finale to the 60th European Championships

Working with Europe’s leading industry suppliers and talent, we developed an ambitious closing ceremony that celebrated the unique qualities of this very special tournament. The first to be hosted in 12 cities across Europe and the first major football tournament post pandemic. Our ceremony opened with a video countdown that journeyed across Europe, landing centre pitch on the hallowed turf of Wembley Stadium, exploring the very DNA of the trophy and the fans that sit at it’s core. London was honoured with a fanfare from the Band of the Coldstream Guards and a fly by from the world-famous Red Arrows.

A cast of 150 brought the ceremony to life which took place on top of a giant digitally printed pitch carpet and was anchored around an 11m giant replica trophy that sat proudly at the heart of the ceremony. Energy was driven not only by the highly choreographed mass cast performance but also by stadium flood lighting display and extensive flame and pyrotechnic spectacle which included 27 flame units and 59 pyro points that was installed across the pitch.

“I stood beside you last week and watched two of the most experienced and talented individuals I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with deliver nothing short of perfection. There is nothing I would have changed, nothing that could have been improved and no other people I would rather have had standing beside me.”Carly Persaud, Ceremonies Coordinator
