SHARING THE DREAM
How will the story of Australia’s female athletes be remembered?
How will it be told? These are the questions KOJO sought to answer when we collaborated with The Office of Recreation, Sport & Racing in SA and the Port Adelaide Football Club to deliver a showpiece honoring women in sport.
The occasion? The inaugral 2022 AFLW Showdown at Adelaide Oval between the Adelaide Crows and Port Power. This piece allowed us to champion the perseverance, passion, and strength of our nation’s unsung sporting heroes.
Featuring Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist Jessica Stenson, this deeply evocative and moving sequence fused historical footage of female athletes with fresh imagery of a new generation of legends in training. The final cut was presented across social media and in-stadium, where it was accompanied by full takeover LED screen assets and stadium lighting.
